He was born in Charlotte Texas to Ysidro and Guadalupe Gonzales on January 22, 1938.
Robert was a great man who worked hard to provide for his family. On July 10, 1960 Robert married the love of his life Paula Sosa, over the years they shared many good times as they raised their family and taught them good family values. His love for his family never strayed as he was a great husband, father, and grandfather, always wanting to be there for them and protect them at all costs. In his spare time he enjoyed being outside, whether tinkering with a vehicle, doing yard-work, riding his motorcycle, or just hanging out and enjoying a great barbecue. He also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and visiting with his friends. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
Robert is survived by his wife Paula Gonzales of Colorado City, by sons Daniel Gonzales, Ralph Gonzales, and Bruce Gonzales all of Colorado City, by daughters Cindy Darling and husband Daniel of Colorado City, and Rita Bishop of Mineral Wells, as well as by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ysidro and Guadalupe Gonzales, and by his siblings Manuel Gonzales, Adon Gonzales, Guadalupe Gonzeles, Fedencio Gonzales, Ray Gonzales, Ysidro Gonzales Jr, Elisa Piedra, and Juanita Corona.
The family will be present for a visitation on Tuesday, April 1st from 5-7 pm in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to follow at 7pm.
