

COLUMBIA Funeral service for Deborah Lynn Parr Cornelison, 66, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens, Ga., at a later date. Ms. Cornelison died Saturday, March 5, 2016. Born in Athens, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Wade and Annette Manley Parr. She attended the University of Georgia and was of the Methodist faith. A longtime member of the Columbia banking community, she was assistant Vice President at Arthur State Bank. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking, gardening and reading. She was a generous volunteer with Sickle Cell Anemia charities. Surviving are sons, Jef Cornelison of Columbia, Scott Cornelison and wife, Kristen of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Quinten, Ethan, Powel and Boyce Cornelison; brothers, Milton Parr and wife, Toni of Athens, Jimmy Parr of Monroe, Ga.; nephews, Wade, Zack, Jessie, Matthew and Haley Parr; and former husband, Jimmy Cornelison of Greenville.
