Mrs. Taylor passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at 12:35 a.m. She took her last breath as her husband was giving her a kiss, and her daughter’s hand was on her heart. Born in Columbia on November 6, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Henry Wheeler and Annie Sharpe.
“God saw her getting tired, a cure was not
to be.
He wrapped her in his loving arms and
whispered ‘Come with me.’
She suffered much in silence, her spirit
did not bend.
She faced her pain with courage, until the
very end.
She tried so hard to stay with us but her
Fight was not in vain,
God took her to His loving home and
Freed her from the pain.”
Surviving are her husband of 51 years and her high school sweetheart, Wayne Taylor; son, Tony Taylor of Covington, Ga.; daughter and best friend, Monica Taylor of Covington, Ga.; granddaughters, Jessica Taylor and Bella Rose Taylor, her heartstring; great-granddaughter, Sydney Taylor; and brother, Albert Wheeler of Columbia.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Eunice Johnston, Mildred Sharpe, Letha Haskell, and Doris Wheeler.
