Thank You Lord Jesus for making our brother Ed, for saving him, and forming him as your servant. Thank You for the time we had with him  and we celebrate his life. We praise You that You are the Savior of all people, especially those who believe and obey Your Son our Lord Jesus, and this means all of who our brother Ed is - has not been lost to death - but the value of his person is saved in our Lord Jesus, and we will meet Ed again later; when we are gathered to You. Thank You Lord Jesus for loaning Ed to us for a little while down here. We praise You that he is with you now, in joy.  Though we miss him here now, we will be glad to see him when we go to where he is with You.

This was my trip to Norfolk, VA for St Patty’s in 2017. I was so excited to see Ed & Debbie! He could just light up the room with his smile.  Prayers to Debbie & the entire family. ❤️ Rest In Peace Ed. 🙏

Dad, I miss you so much. I know we had hard times. But our love never stopped. I am paralyzed with the thought that I’ll never hear your voice again. That you’ll never pass through “Raleigh” again and visit for a dinner or overnight stay. Who am I supposed to wow with my shrimp and grits? Who will call me “B” with their entire heart behind it? Who is going to embarrass me in an elevator with how proud they are? You always believed in us so much. You glowed when talking about family. No one could doubt or equal that. You were a force that cannot be matched.

My heart is shattered. I miss you so much. I love you endlessly.

I love you forever, Mr. Ed. Thank you for being my second dad all those years and always putting up with Laura and I’s crazy antics. This still feels unreal but I promise you I won’t stop until we have justice for you. I love you so much and I’ll miss you forever.

My husband Tim and I want to express our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to all of Ed’s family and to his many friends. I first met Ed back in the early 1990’s when he and my husband worked together at ACU-4 in Little Creek. He was always a gentleman, such a million-watt smile all the time, would help anyone at any time in any way, if he could. The world has truly lost a genuine good soul. 

We are still in complete shock and total disbelief after learning what had happened to him. We hope that you all find comfort and strength in the love that he had for his family. May God wrap his loving and healing arms around you all as you each learn to navigate the road ahead. We all will have an awesome guardian angel watching over us. 

Rest in eternal peace to our dear friend. Until we meet again.
