Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Christopher Melonas and Antiopes Sevastou Melonas. Frank taught at Dreher High School and Midlands Technical College. He also served in the U.S. Navy Reserves.
Surviving are his wife, Jana S. Melonas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, George Melonas, Veron Melonas, Angelo Melonas, Vaness Pachis, Areadne Anestos, and Mary Lewis.
