

CROSS, S.C. - A service celebrating the life of James Daniel “Danny” Throgmorton, 62, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with a reception following the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Throgmorton passed away Monday, December 24, 2018. Born in Paducah, Kentucky on June 21, 1956, he was a son of Carolyn Thorne Martin of Columbia and the late James Philip Throgmorton.
Danny was a graduate of Columbia High School and Midlands Technical College. He was employed at D and E Manufacturing in Moncks Corner. He was a great outdoorsman who loved camping, sky diving, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, and cooking on his “Big Green Egg” cooker. He had a love for history, enjoyed watching sunrises and sunsets, and playing his harmonica. Danny had many loyal friends and loved them all. Above all he loved the Lord.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his brother, Richard Wade Throgmorton of Columbia; sister, Diane T. Pepper (Jeff) of Boiling Springs; three nieces, Amanda Pepper, Kathryn Pepper and Sarah Pepper Ford (Dan); nephew, Tyler Nicholas Throgmorton; and the love of his life, Nancy Wiedemann.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his step-father, Henry Martin.
