

John Nicholas Biddle age 80, passed into the arms of our Heavenly Father Saturday, March 7, 2026 after a battle with aggressive pancreatic cancer. He passed peacefully in his home with his adoring family by his side. John was born in Durham, N.C. October 1, 1945, the son of the late Byron and Polly Biddle. John was a 1963 graduate of Bay County High School and served active duty U.S. Navy from 1963-1966. He returned home and married the love of his life, Ann Perdue, on February 4, 1967 in Lynn Haven, Florida. There they were Blessed with three wonderful children. John also attended Gulf Coast Community College and went to work as soon as possible to start raising their family.
In 1981 John and his family moved to Columbia, South Carolina. John enjoyed working in sales and management and was respected by many for his work ethic and dedication. He never met a stranger and truly enjoyed working with people. Throughout life he took pleasure in being outdoors and working with his hands. He spent his time in constant motion from his youth until his passing. He was proud of his role as a husband, father, brother, and grandfather. In his spare time he became an avid reader of numerous genres.
John is survived by his beloved wife Ann of 59 years, his children Anna (Mike), John (Leslie), and Brenda (late Brian) and his siblings Byron (late Lucretia), Lucy (late Al), Cindy (Fred), and Mark. As well as his loving grandchildren, Mary, Maggie (Monty), Karen, Will and Michael (Jennifer). He is also survived by many extended family members throughout Alabama, Florida, and Georgia as well as his beloved black labrador Sam.
