I am so sorry to hear of the death of my old friend, Jack Hardy. Jack and I attended Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, DC and worked together during the summers and weekends at Merrill’s Drive-In Restaurant in College Park, MD. I always admired the Hardy boys, Don, Jack, and Russ - they were good people who enjoyed life. Jack came from a good family and he became a wonderful father and grandfather. May he rest in eternal peace. May God comfort Susan and all the children and grandchildren.

I remember motorcycle rides and horses
I remember long conversations outside of the family reunion doors.
I remember our uncle who always had a smooth, kind and patient disposition.
We will miss you Uncle Jack, thank you for being an exemplary force in our lives.

We have so many many memories together dad...you taught me how to ride my bike in the back yard, mow the grass with a tractor, drive a stick shift, enjoy the views and sounds of nature, how to not be afraid of our horses haha.....gosh there are so many but those are some of the sweet memories we share forever. The kids really love and miss you...Julia made us chocolate chip cookies the other day to honor your love for sweets haha. Ryan remembered how you always walked us out to our car on Hipsley Mill and ran after us as we left. Emma loved coming to visit you guys at the house and big yard you and mom had...she wished she could have rode our horses. We love you dad and we miss you so much. So happy you are at peace in heaven with your brothers and parents. You will always be in our hearts forever ❤️

I will be forever grateful for the life I have through the love you’ve shared. There is a void in our lives in your absence. I pray we can fill that void with our love for each other and strengthen the bonds we share. Rest In Peace Jack. I am so very grateful I got to see you again and that you could show me love one last time.
