COLUMBIA – Joseph "Joe" Edward Stevens Sr., 97, peacefully and gracefully went to join his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 29, 2026. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, followed by a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. at Jackson Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 7778 Two Notch Road.
Born on May 23, 1928 in Wampee, S.C., he was the son of the late Charlie Grover and Ruth Estelle Hardee Stevens. Joe’s life was enjoyed driving a truck, being on Lake Wateree with his family, and planting his vegetable garden each year.
Joe is survived by his daughters, Doris Ann (Carl) Kendall, Jo Ann (Johnny) Boulware and son, Robbie (Sherri) Stevens; daughter-in-law, Sherri Ann Stevens; ten grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers, sisters, wife Doris, and son Joey.
