

Born on December 30, 1928, Juanita was the daughter of the late James B. and Margaret K. Ford. She was a proud graduate of Columbia High School and went on to retire from Mt. Vernon Mills, where she built lifelong friendships and a legacy of hard work.
Family was the center of Juanita’s life. In retirement, she found joy and purpose in spending time with her loved ones, especially cherishing every moment she had with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her quiet strength, kind heart, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 65 years, William Poole; her twin sisters, Norma Phillips and Naomi Leonard; her brother, Robert G. Ford; her son-in-law, Barry R. Stanley; her daughter-in-law, Karin A. Pahnke; and her niece, Deborah Corley Hawkins.
Left to carry on her memory are her brother, Michael S. Ford; daughters, Cynthia Poole, Vanessa P. Key (Gene), and Denise P. Stanley; grandchildren, Sally Jeffcoat (Joey), Charlie Earp (Sarah), J.W. Stanley (Ashley), and Elizabeth Stanley; great-grandchildren, Quinton, Matthew (Michelle), Summer, Wyatt, Ethan, Jayleigh, and Noah; and her great-great-granddaughter, Scarlett. Along with many nieces and nephews.
Juanita's family will forever remember her unwavering love, her selfless care, and the warm, steady presence she brought into their lives.
Services will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at Brookland United Methodist Church with a visitation beginning at 3:00 pm and memorial service to follow at 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, Brookland United Methodist Church, or to an organization of your choice.
