Shock and Disbelief . . . I just heard.  He was more than just my dentist. I actually enjoyed going to the dentist and our interesting conversations.  I had a horrible dental experience during my youth and neglected my teeth thereafter.  A friend referred me to Dr. Straka.  He and his staff are wonderful.  His patience and kind demeanor allayed all my fears. May the God of Comfort continue to comfort the family.

Dr.Straka was a great man and great dentist. He was my dentist  and my dad went to him and now he's  in a good place.  Rest now the angels are looking over you .Tricia

He was our dentist ever since we moved to Columbia, SC. He was always very professional and always smiled when he talked about his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, his family, and all of his staff.

Dr. Straka was just a wonderful man. I have seen him religiously every 6 months for close to 20 years. He and the staff felt more like family than just "the dentist." He will be missed so much because he was truly one in a million.  My sincere condolences to his entire family and to his outstanding staff - especially Lisa and Lauren - who I know loved him so much.

We just heard of Dr. strarka passing ,he was a great and caring man , we were with him 20 + Yrs, he will be so missed..

I just heard of Dr. Straka's death from a friend. If I had known in time I would have attended the funeral. He was a great dentist to me for 25? years and to my children for most of their lives. I trusted him and considered him a friend. I will miss him and our exchanges about trips and travel destinations.

I have a lot of good memories about Dr Straka. I first became a patient of his on an election day in the early 1990. I had broken a tooth and had not dentist.  Some friends referred me to Dr Straka; Lisa got me in for an appointment that day. Dr Straka ended up having to pull the tooth. Now, I had two teeth pulled when I was in the Army and those experiences hurt like hell. Dr Straka pulled my tooth and I barely even felt it! I was so happy, I told him I was gonna write-in his name for president :-) that was the first time i saw that beautiful smile :-)
In 2011, my sister had heart surgery scheduled on a Monday. The Saturday before her surgery, I broke a tooth again. I called Dr Strake's answering service and asked if they could refer me to an emergency dentist or someplace to get it fixed. I did not want sit through my sister's heart surgery with a broken tooth slicing my tongue every time I talked. I left the message with the service. The next thing I know Lisa is calling me telling me that Dr Straka is going to meet me at the office and do a temporary fix for the tooth so that I would not have to worry about that during Brenda's surgery. What a wonderful and thoughtful man to go so much out of his way to help me. I will never forget his kindness.   God did not make many like Keith P Straka!

So sorry to hear this news. Dr.Straka was a wonderful person and a great dentist. I went to him since I was a child and he calmed a lot of fears that I had. Always enjoyed seeing him. He will be truly missed. Keeping all in my prayers. Gayle Steele

I trusted all of his decisions and his work was top rate. I cannot think of a finer person. He and his staff were always pleasant and professional. I will miss him.

We were so sad to recieve the news of Dr. Straka. What a wonderful denist and beautiful person he was. He had been our family denist for over 30 and 40 years.  His smile and funny jokes were the highlight to having our teeth cleaned.  In recent years he shared funny stories of his grandchildren. He may have been from Ohio but he was one of the biggest Carolina Gamecock fans in Columbia. On my visits to the office, we'd always talk USC sports. I'll miss him.
