Laura was born October 8, 1952 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late William “Bill” and Sarah Tarrant. She grew up in a close, God-loving family, being the oldest of three sisters whom she leaves behind.
Laura married Larry Robinson on September 6, 1975 and following that union, they spent years traveling the world with their three children; William “Marshall”, Brandon and Lauren before settling in Manassas, VA.
Laura was a driven professional but a devoted wife and mother first; loving her family above all things. Laura was an avid animal lover who also enjoyed gardening, reading, baking cookies with her grandchildren, making memories every moment she could, hosting Holidays, visiting the beach and traveling the world. Laura enjoyed the finer things in life earning her the lifelong nickname “Queenie” which her family and grandkids, although they pronounce it as “Nini”, would call her. Laura was a truly genuine person who wore her heart on her sleeve. She loved with a love like no other and never failed to take care of others before herself. Laura once said that “If you remember anything of me after I leave this world remember that I loved even when it was foolish. That I cared even when it was unwanted. When my body is gone remember my heart”.
Laura is survived by her children’s father, Larry; her three children, Marshall, Brandon and Lauren; three grandchildren, Hannah, Trey and Kendall; two sisters, Sarah Elvington and Carole Collins; Brother-in-law Fred Elvington; Brother-in-law Steve Pullie; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Due to restrictions with the current world events, in lieu of a traditional visitation and Funeral Service in Manassas, VA, a Memorial Service will be held at Pierce Funeral Home in Manassas at a later date, still to be determined, where all will be welcome.
