COLUMBIA - A graveside service for Margaret Perry Bivens, 84, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2025 in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
Ms. Bivens passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025. Born in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Alex A. Perry and Lois Arledge Perry. Margaret grew up in the Olympia Mill Village and considered herself a Lint Head. She attended Catholic High School and Palmer College. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she worked as a budget analyst at Fort Jackson and retired after 42 years of service. She loved her family and working in the yard.
Surviving are her daughter, Katy Sniegon (Darrell) and her granddaughter, Ally Sniegon.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Nolan Bivens.
