

Margaret “Peg" Marvel Yeatman, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away on November 15, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on May 2, 1940, in Wilmington, Delaware, Peg lived a life marked by dedication to her family, community involvement, and a deep appreciation for creativity and learning.
A proud graduate of Alexis I. DuPont High School in Wilmington, Delaware, Peg completed her studies in 1958. Over the years, she built a professional life that included work in both banking and real estate. However, her most cherished roles were those centered around her family and community. She was married to the love of her life, Al, for 62 years.
Peg was a devoted wife and mother who poured her energy into supporting her children’s education and extracurricular activities. She served as President of the PTA and, with her husband was Co-Chair of the North Augusta High School Band Boosters and worked as a substitute teacher at several of her children's schools.
Her love for her grandchildren was evident in the time she spent teaching them how to crab and fish with a cane pole on many family beach trips. A lifelong dream and one of her favorite adventures was treating her children and grandchildren to a trip to Disney World. In the past three years her great-granddaughter, Harper, was the apple of her eye.
Peg found joy in many hobbies throughout her life. She had a green thumb for gardening, an eye for beauty through painting and needlework, and a passion for reading that she shared with others. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Blythewood. There, she was involved in numerous groups, including the Hillclimbers Club, Mexican Train Dominoes Group, Travel Group, Quilting Ministry, and Book Club.
Peg is predeceased by her parents, Donald and Margaret Marvel, husband Alfred Yeatman, siblings, Shirley (Tony) Candeloro, Dick Marvel, and Donald Marvel, brother-in-law, Wayne Yeatman, grandson, Charlie Terreni, Jr., niece, Susan Yeatman, and nephew David Yeatman. She is survived by siblings Jack (Charlene) Marvel, Joan (Herb) Perry, sister-in-law, Peggy Yeatman, son, Bob (Lariann) Yeatman, daughter, Patti (Charlie) Terreni, grandchildren, Ashley (Tyler) Holden, Brandon Yeatman, Shand Terreni, great-granddaughter, Harper Holden, and numerous, nephews, nieces, cousin, family and friends.
A Service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 90 Boney Road in Blythewood, South Carolina on November 23, 2025, at 02:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the church at P.O. Box 864, Blythewood, SC 29016.
