LEXINGTON - Marlene B. Brown of Lexington, SC passed away gently Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Lexington Medical Center. Mrs. Brown was born on July 29, 1933 in Hubbard, Ohio. She was a part of the “Greatest Generation” and had a great love of music and poetry. She was an astute and intelligent woman in her own right who was admired and loved by all she knew, but her greatest love was her family, which spread from Ohio, California, Washington State and South Carolina. In her younger years, she worked for Disneyland and Pacific Bell in California. She leaves behind her faithful husband of 59 years, James H. Brown; her sons, David B. Brown and Mark M. Brown (Julie); daughter, Sara B. Brown; granddaughters, Jennifer, Carann, Emily, Colleen and Erin; grandson, Sean; and great-granddaughter, Nora. A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street.
