

The fourth of seven children, she was born February 28, 1928, in Gouverneur, NY, to the late Burt Manson Fuller and Celia Josephine Jones Fuller.
Maxine was married to the late Merton Eugene Reynolds for 64 years. They lived in six different states and had three children, each one born in a different state. The last move was to Spartanburg, SC, where they lived for 51 years.
Maxine enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as well as cooking, friends and church. She was a Cub Scout Leader, Girl Scout Leader, and Red Cross Instructor. She also worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Spartanburg General Hospital. Maxine’s love language was food, and she loved being busy and helping others.
An active member of Bethel Methodist Church, she served on the Altar Guild, sang in the Choir, and taught Children’s and Adult Sunday School classes. She led a Women’s Bible Study for several years and served as President of the UMW.
Maxine is survived by her brother Wayne Carl Fuller (Carol); Children Scott Carter Reynolds (Carol), Amy Reynolds Craighead (Dennis); Grandchildren Jason Scott Reynolds, Laura Reynolds Justen (Andrew), Max Porter Craighead (Caitlin); and Great Grandchildren Lawrence Anderson Justen and Luke Arthur Justen.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by son Aaron Dale Reynolds.
A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2026, at Dunbar Funeral home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Burial will be at Sunnyside Cemetery, Great Bend, NY at a later date.
