COLUMBIA - Sarah Chaplin Thomas, 48, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of Rose Budd Smith Thomas and the late Edward Chaplin Thomas. She graduated from Palmetto Baptist Academy and was a member of Rose Hill Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a brother, Robert Whitfield Thomas (Lauren) of Goose Creek, S.C.; nieces, Bianca Rose and Colette Chaplin Thomas; aunts, Sandra Surratt of Fort Mill, S.C. and Henrietta Locke (Sid) of Columbia.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Rose Hill Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
