Shauna Christine Cain

Born in Waukegan, Illinois on April 12, 1967, Shauna was youngest child of Sandra Lemmon Cain of Columbia and Curtis Ray Cain of West Columbia. She moved with her family to Columbia in 1970.

Shauna graduated from Cardinal Newman High School and graduated from the University of South Carolina, with a degree in Business Administration. She was the owner of Body & Sol Tanning Salon in Irmo for several years. She loved to travel and went on several trips around the United States, including Hawaii, visited Spain and, in 2018, a very special trip to Israel.

In addition to her mother and father, Shauna is survived by her brother, Ty Cain of Charleston; nephew, Justin Ray Cain, attending UCF in Orlando, FL; niece, Brooke Cain, attending UNC in Wilmington, NC; and aunt, Linda Black Kennison of Columbia.

The family would like to thank the medical staff of Prisma Health Baptist ICU for their compassionate care and comfort.

Since Shauna loved all her animals (“fur babies”), she would have wanted memorials to be made to Sidewalk Angels, www.sidewalkangels.org, in lieu of flowers.
