Susan Dawne Robinson Vowles

IRMO - A memorial service for Susan Dawne Robinson Vowles, 62, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Vowles died Monday, April 2, 2018. Born in Lewiston, Maine, she was a daughter of the late Melvin Brett Robinson and Marilyn Beatrice Emery Robinson. A 1977 graduate of the University of Maine, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She was employed with the Gorham School District working with special needs children. After moving to South Carolina, she was employed as Volunteer Coordinator for Harvest Hope Food Bank and Volunteer Coordinator for other hospice groups lastly Winyah Hospice. She was involved with various support groups involving Ovarian Cancer.

Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Jeffrey Vowles; daughter, Ashlee Robin Vowles and son, Brett Edward Emery Vowles, both of West Columbia, SC; and other extended family.

The family would like to thank the staff of SCOA and Palmetto Health Richland, 11th floor, for all their care and support.
