As a youth, he received the most-Christlike Paladin Award at Camp Rockmont. He graduated in 2009 from Walton High School in Marietta, Georgia, where he was an honor graduate and a Captain of the football team. He attended the University of Alabama.
As one of his schoolfriends wrote, “Scott could light up a room with his humor (and good looks).” Scott was known for his infectious and outgoing personality. As a young boy, he began doing sleight of hand and magic tricks. While other family members would follow in his footsteps, all considered him a master of the art. His sense of humor was demonstrated not only by his quick wit, but also by his ability to do perfect impersonations of family and friends. Scott maintained the discipline of athletics and fitness, and he recently started a YouTube channel to motivate others. Above all, Scott Willoch will be remembered for the kindness he showed to everyone he met.
He is survived by his mother, Florrie Price of Columbia; father, Ray Willoch of Atlanta; brothers, Bryan Willoch and Price Willoch; his grandparents Adelyn Grant Price of Columbia, and Raymond and Agnes Scott “Mickey” Willoch of Atlanta; son, Atticus Bjorn Willoch and his mother Sara Rebecca Gaffen of Coconut Creek, Florida; aunts and uncles, Anna and David Gurganus, Addie Mathes and Richard Knittel, Tom and Paulette Price, Alice and Jason Adams, Susan Willoch Shaver, Ben and Lisa Willoch Ortlip; and cousins, Benjamin (Allison) Mathes, Adam (Sarah) Mathes, David (Sumitra) Thieker, Jenny Curran, Hannah Curran, Allison Price, Ashlee Price Huttenlocker, Sarah Adams, Rebekah Adams, Anna Katherine Adams, Jennifer Shaver Penta, Betsy Shaver Coxwell, Ellen Ortlip, Kathryn Ortlip, Jane Ortlip, Karsten Ortlip, Rachel Ortlip, Adam Ortlip, Stephon Ortlip, and Aaron Ortlip.
