Beverly was the beloved wife of Edward N. Sawyer, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and devotion. Together, they built a life rooted in family, faith, and the traditions of Sawyer Orchards. She was a devoted and caring mother to Amanda Sawyer Bailey (Raymond Bailey), Heidi Sawyer-Fawcett (Courtney Fawcett), and Bradford Sawyer (Julie Feil Sawyer).
She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Brett Bailey (Annie Keck Bailey), Benjamin Bailey (Julia McCabe Bailey), Jessica Reeves, Abigail Sawyer, Isabelle Sawyer, and Bradford Sawyer, Jr. Nothing brought her more joy than the time spent with her grandchildren. Whether it was through family gatherings, shared stories, or quiet meaningful moments. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Keira Bailey and Jace Bailey, who brought her endless pride and happiness.
Beverly was predeceased by her husband Edward N. Sawyer and parents, Bradford H. Butler and Theresa P. Butler.
She graduated from Knox School in Nissequogue, New York. Her love of horses began at an early age and remained a lifelong passion. She spent many years riding and showing her beloved horse, Silver Flash, in equestrian events.
After returning home, Beverly married Edward N. Sawyer of Salisbury in 1957. Together they raised their family at Sawyer Orchards in Salisbury, NH. The Orchard was more than just a home—it was a place of warmth, hard work, laughter, and lasting memories. Beverly took great pride in creating a welcoming environment where family and friends were always invited and made to feel at ease.
Her faith was an important part of her life. She was an active and dedicated member in the Salisbury Congregational Church and other community organizations. Her quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering values were reflected in the way she lived and the way she cared for others.
Beverly had a gift for making people feel special. She loved hosting gatherings for family and friends, especially at Christmas time. She found peace and joy in gardening, tending to her flowers and the home she loved so deeply.
