Curtis Dale Abel

Curtis was born in Palestine, AR and grew up in Kingsport TN. He was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School and East Tennessee State University. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army 101st Airborne, first certified SCUBA instructor in North Carolina. He was a sales and management leader at Honeywell and other technology companies. Curtis was a passionate defender of the preservation of Civil War battlefields in Fredericksburg, VA. Curtis was an avid sailor, outdoorsman, reader and lover of life.

Beloved husband to Susan Abel; father of two children, Adale and Carter and two step-children Jenny and Sarah; grandfather of 6 grandchildren and brother to Sue Newman of Kingsport TN.

A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 354 Main St. Hopkinton, NH on August 25, 2017 at 10am.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to National Parkinson Foundation.
