David was a veteran of the Massachusetts National Guard to which he served from 1979 to 1985. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for over 10 years and found joy in his job and those he worked with. David enjoyed riding his Harley any chance he could, and spending time with his family.
David is survived by his wife, Erica K Sheppard; his mother, Catherine Kope; his step-daughter Nyah (Sheppard) Donnelly and her spouse Daniel; his sister Kelley Bibeau, her husband Shawn and their children Tyler and Kasie of Epsom, NH; two grandchildren Samuel Donnelly, and Evelyn Donnelly; and his two dogs, Gabby and Shelby. He is predeceased by his father Gordon Kope.
