

He was the beloved husband of 58 years to Gisele (Perreault) Houston. Born in Concord, New Hampshire on July 27, 1938, he was the son of the late Charles Parker Houston and Anna Charlotte (Andrews) Houston.
Donald dedicated 28 years of service to the City of Concord, where he worked as a Senior Operator in the Water Treatment Plant before retiring in 2002.
A true outdoorsman, Donald had a deep love for nature. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and took great pride in woodcrafting, often creating handmade walking sticks. He also raised bobwhite quail for local sportsman’s club to help train hunting dogs, combining his love of wildlife with his support of the local sporting community.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his daughter, Gail M. Clay and her husband Douglas of Loudon, New Hampshire; his cherished granddaughter, Hailey M. Clay of Loudon, New Hampshire; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was the brother of the late Robert C. Houston.
Donald will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his craftsmanship, his humor and his devotion to his family.
Donald's graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 11:00 am in Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord. If you plan to attend the procession will form in the Parking lot at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord at 10:45 am. A reception will follow back at the Bennett Funeral Home.
