

Born in Concord on July 9, 1942, he was the son of Everett and Lillian (Hurd) Tucker. He was raised in Bow, NH and was active in the local Boy Scout troop as well as a member of Bow Methodist Church. Gene graduated from Concord High School in 1960 and served in the US Army from then until 1966. He worked for Rivco building doors and windows for many years and also owned an antique/collectibles shop for a number of years. Gene enjoyed spending many summers in Old Orchard Beach and Biddeford, Maine with Mary. He had a passion for woodworking and spent many hours in his shop refinishing furniture. He was also a lover of all animals and especially loved his dog Jessie.
Gene is survived by his best friend, caregiver and life love, Mary White. He is also survived by his daughter, Melissa Newton Barry and her husband Brian, of Franklin; his son Daniel (Lee) Tucker, of Concord; grandchildren, Ashley Hardy, Rhianna Newton, Seth Newton, Noah Newton, Sam Barry, Kandyce Tucker, Taylor Tucker and their mothers Debbie Staples and Marie Bedard; brothers Everett (Skip) Tucker and his wife Pat, of Manchester and Richard Tucker and his wife Cindy, of Raleigh, NC; and Sister-in-law & friend Nancy Tucker, of Concord.
He was predeceased by his parents; son, Blaine Tucker; daughter-in-law, Karen Hardy; brother, Wayne Tucker; sister, Melodye Smith and his beloved dog, Jessie.
A memorial service will be held Monday, September 21, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel at the N.H. Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen.
