Frederick Thomas Ford

Frederick “Fred” T. Ford, 87 of Tilton, NH, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 10, 1937, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to the late Frederick V. and Margaret (McNally) Ford. He lived most of his life in New Hampshire and graduated from Pembroke Academy. He worked for many years in auto parts sales with Grinold - O’Brien Sales and later retired from Chicago Rawhide SKF.

Fred loved to stay busy and was always working on something. After retirement, he enjoyed refinishing furniture and caring for his yard, which he took great pride in over the years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and will be remembered for his quiet strength, steady hands, and kind heart.

Fred is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Clista (Ramey) Ford; sons Fred Ford and wife Cheryl of Ossipee, and Michael Ford and wife Gina of North Reading, MA; daughter Lea Miner and husband Leonard of Laconia; seven grandsons, one granddaughter; six great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters; and brother Robert Ford. He is predeceased by an infant son; son Thomas Ford; and brothers George and Raymond Ford.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord, NH. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Blossom Hill Cemetery, 207 North State Street, Concord.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fred’s memory to a charity of your choice or the Alzheimers/Dementia Association.
