Jerry was born on March 28, 1936, in Woodsville, NH, the son of Hugh and Mildred Bean (Witham). He attended Concord High School, graduating in 1954. Jerry worked as a Lineman for Concord Electric, which later became Unitil, for many years, and also Electrician at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds and Loudon Old Home Days. He was a member of the National Guard and American Legion.
Jerry led a very active life, enjoyed riding motorcycles, bicycling, kayaking, as well as camping. For several years, during the Hopkinton Fair, he was an actor in the Wild West reenactment. He was a member of Always Adventures. He had many hobbies and he enjoyed traveling. Some of his travels brought him to Prince Edward Island and overseas to Germany. Jerry’s witty & humorous personality will be missed tremendously by so many.
Jerry was predeceased by his wife of nearly 55 years, Alma Bean, his parents and two sons Kevin Bean and Kerry Bean.
Jerry is survived by his sons, Kim Bean and his wife Mindy of Loudon, NH, Keith Bean and his partner Linda Orlando of Concord, NH, Kenneth Bean of Loudon, NH, and their mother Judith Storrs Johnston from his first marriage. He leaves his daughter from Alma, Donna Osborn and husband Jeff Osborn of Boscawen, NH. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other extended family members.
A graveside service on June 20th will be held at Loudon Center Cemetery beginning 11:00am followed by a celebration of life at Kim & Mindy’s home 231 Mudgett Hill Road, Loudon, NH.
