Henry was a gracious host and all who came to his home immediately felt warmly welcome and comfortable. He and Marion both enjoyed entertaining immensely. For most of their married life they had a place on a lake and many friends and family spent time at the lake enjoying their hospitality. Many of his nieces and nephews have fond memories with their Uncle Henry at the lake. Wherever he and Marion lived, neighbors would often join them for cocktail hour. Henry adored babies and children and they adored him back; he had a special bond with many.
He will be deeply missed by his children and grandchildren and others whose lives he touched.
