James Patrick Murphy II

James, Jamie or Dijit, as he was known by different names to those he loved, was born on June 17, 1976 in Norwood, Massachusetts. He worked for Verizon for 24 years, installing Fios. He also had a passion for music that lead him to find a home at 91.3FM WDJM, Framingham State College’s Radio Station for 15 years.

Jamie enjoyed Anime, and made many great friends attending Anime Boston over the years. He also loved all things Bruins, Patriots, Deadpool, Jameson and Dragons.

Jamie was an incredibly selfless and caring man, always going the extra mile to help anyone, whether in need or not. He will be remembered most for his sense of humor, his kind and caring ways, and his ability to conjure up a perfectly fitting nickname at moment’s notice.

Jamie is survived by his Fiancée, Amy Smith of Hillsboro; siblings, Megan Murphy, John Murphy and his wife, Lisa, Paul Murphy, and Peter Richards, and his Husband, Rian; Niece, Saoirse “Bean” Murphy; father, James Murphy and his wife, affectionately deemed as Mrs. Mum, Laurie; Parents-in-Law, Dorothy and Harold Smith, as well as many Aunts ”Treasures”, Uncles, cousins and countless friends.
