When they retired from the farm life they moved to Contoocook. Jane enjoyed community activities, including church life. She particularly enjoyed the Hopkinton band concerts at the town band gazebo, which was built and named in her honor.
Bob and Jane had a family fishing camp in Maine where they spent time with friends and family and where she pursued her insatiable appetite for reading.
