

Julie Vloras Saggiotes, 97, of Concord passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025 after a brief illness. Julie was born in Lowell, Massachusetts to Charles and Evangeline (Labedas) Vloras who emigrated from Kalambaka, Greece in 1916. She graduated from Lowell High School and attended Bentley School of Accounting and Finance (now Bentley University) while working for Lowell Stationery Company. It was on a ski trip to Mount Sunapee in February 1954, that Julie met James Saggiotes, and they were married the following October. They enjoyed 64 years together until Jim's death in 2018.
Julie and Jim settled in Jim's hometown of Newport, New Hampshire where they raised their family and worked in Jim's family's business, Priscilla Restaurant and Gift Shop for several years. After selling their interest in the business, Julie worked for the New Hampshire Division of Human Services in various positions in Claremont and Concord, retiring from the Office of Medical Services in 1988. After their retirement, Julie and Jim moved to Concord and enjoyed spending winters in Marco Island, Florida. They delighted in attending their grandchildren's sporting events, dance recitals, concerts and plays. In 2013, Julie and Jim joined the Havenwood community where they participated in many activities. Julie especially enjoyed bingo, art classes, armchair exercise, trivia games, and concerts.
Julie was a kind, loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose family, faith and friends were her main priorities. She was an exceptional cook, specializing in Greek dishes and pastries. Julie was a faithful parishioner of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Newport, and Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Concord where she was a member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society. She was also an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Mary Massahos, Helen Azimopoulos, Bessie Savoley and William Vloras. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Susan and Daniel Geiger of Loudon; Mary and Charles Weatherill of Concord; and Nancy and Michael Bujold of Concord. Survivors also include grandchildren Caroline Weatherill of Falmouth, Maine; Marissa (James) Campbell of Concord; Alison (Michael) Baldwin of Boston, MA; Peter Weatherill of South Portland, Maine; Thomas Bujold of Charlestown, MA; and James (Elizabeth) Bujold of Charlestown, MA. Julie is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Grace Susan Campbell and James Michael Campbell, III of Concord, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 6th from 4 pm to 6 pm at Bennett Funeral Home in Concord. Trisagion service will be held at 5 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 7th at 10 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Concord. Private burial will occur at a later date.

Julie's family members extend their deepest appreciation to the dedicated professionals and staff of Havenwood's Health Services Center for their care, compassion and companionship throughout Julie's residence, but especially during her final days.
