Mary Ella (and Roy) were both neighbors in Amesbury Park as well as a part of our church family. Prior to her move to Presidential Oaks, Mary Ella and Edith were daily walkers and would always stop for a quick chat if I was outside. She made the best peanut butter blossom cookies for our Creative Angel Cookie Walk each December. May peace be with you.

Thoughts, prayers and much love to the Cluff family. I spent many of my high school hours at the Cluff home.  Have many wonderful memories of Mary Ella.  She had much patience.  As years past we all remained friends. I will miss her smile.  Pam, Cindy and Tom...my heart is with you.

Some of my fondest memories of Contoocook and the Contoocook UMC are of Mary Ella and Roy Cluff and their involvement in the community and the church.

I have known Mary Ella since 1976. She was a kind, loving, caring, quiet, person. After Roy died she was a neighbor in Amesbury Park. She sat with my husband who had Parkinson's Disease so I could get out. She was a member of my church and the co-president of the church Women's Circle. A wonderful person.

I love my Aunt Mary Ella and will miss her very much.  From spending joyous Thanksgiving holidays in the house on Pine Street to visiting her at her last place, I enjoyed spending time with her and feel lucky that she was my aunt. I told her that she was my favorite aunt, to which she dryly replied "I'm your only aunt." I told her she would still be my favorite. I can still see her smiling face and that is how I will remember her. See you next Friday. Love you.

While we never had the privilege of knowing Mrs. Cluff, just seeing her picture in the obituary speaks volumes.  There is a sweetness and gentleness about her that is so obvious.  We have never met, but we share a common bond in that our children, Emily and Greg, have become close and we just wanted to reach out and tell you (Cindy, Richard, and Greg) that we are so sorry for your loss.  It has to be such a blessing to know that your mother and grandmother lived a long full life and no doubt a life that touched others in countless meaningful ways.  Losing a loved one is always hard, but certainly losing your Mom this close to Mother's Day has to be especially difficult.  You are in our thoughts and prayers and we just wanted you to know.  May God give you strength throughout the days to come and may your grief be eased by many wonderful memories of happy times together.

Mary Ella was a special part of our lives. She especially enjoyed family get togethers and cooking those special family meals that we all enjoyed so much. Mary Ella and I would share cooking duties on those busy days over a glass (or 2!) of wine. I really enjoyed those moments and laughs we would share in the kitchen. Mary Ella was a special part of my Mother Barbara's life as well. Mary Ella and Barbara developed a special bond and grew to think of each other as "sisters". God bless you Mary Ella, I will miss you so much. Give a hug to your "sister" Barbara for me on Mother's day. Love, Rick

I want to send my condolences to Pam, Tom and Cindy.  Your mom was a special part of my life - from childhood as we all played together into when I returned to Contoocook as an adult.  She was one of my mother's best friends and I would love to think my mother had the coffee made and waiting for her.  She will be missed.
