Pierre Roy

Pierre Albert Roy Jr., 89, passed away at noon on Monday, December 6, 2010 at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia. He had resided at Golden View Nursing Home in Meredith since June of 2009. He was a former resident of Berlin, NH for 50 years.

He was born August 21, 1921 in St. Prosper, Province of Quebec Canada, the son of Pierre, Sr. and Roseanna Roy.

He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years Noelline ( Morin) Roy in 2005.

Mr. Roy was a woodcutter for 30 years and a carpenter/millwright until he retired in 1975. He and his wife loved to travel and he enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his five children, three sons, John Roy and his wife Judy of Hebron, CT, Richard Roy and his wife Sandy of Conway, NH and Ronald Roy of Vernon, CT; two daughters, Pauline Lapointe of Concord, NH and Louise Robaire and her husband Ron of Concord, NH. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 180 Loudon Road, Concord.

Burial will take place at a later date.

The Bennett Funeral Home, Concord, is in charge of arrangements.
