Barbara "Ann" Hefner

Barbara “Ann” Hefner, age 52, of Claremont, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. She was born in Catawba County on Saturday, February 23, 1974 to the late Howard Willard Hefner and Janie Black Hefner.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Tony Hefner.

Ann was a sweet lady, who loved everyone she met. She was a giving person, always helping someone in need and always present in everything she did. Ann enjoyed taking trips to the beach, it was her favorite place to be. She liked to celebrate all holidays throughout the year, and she especially enjoyed decorating for Halloween and Christmas. Ann was employed by Catawba Valley Medical Center in the business office, and she had previously worked for many years at Comscope.

Those left to cherish Ann’s memory are her brother, Wade Hefner; aunts, cousins, extended family; and many friends she made throughout the years.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm at Shiloh Methodist Church, 1648 Shiloh Rd, Claremont, NC 28610.

A Celebration of Ann’s Life will follow at 2:00 pm at Shiloh Methodist Church with Reverend David Nolan and Reverend Johnny Hefner officiating.
