Burgin Junior Auton

Burgin Junior Auton, age 70, of Vale, NC, passed away on September 21, 2021 at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory. He was born August 2, 1951, in Lincoln County, the son of the late Burgin Lee Auton and Emma Crouse Auton.

In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Ray Auton; and sister, Frances Auton.

Junior was employed with Carolina Glove for many years. He was a great husband and best friend. Junior was a Mopar man at heart! He enjoyed going to car shows, and returning with his trophies.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joann Auton; brothers, Robert (Tina) Auton of Vale, and Dale (Sylvia) Auton of Newton; sisters, Diane Allen and Bobbie Sue Lynn of Hickory, Shelby (Roger) Bolick of Granite Falls, and Mildred (David) Fulbright of Vale; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Macedonia Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, 4352 Macedonia Church Road, in Vale, with Rev. Tommy Scronce and Rev. Terry Adams officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service at the graveside from 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
