Donnie Lee Harmon

Born August 11, 1959, he was the son of the late Bobby Lee Harmon and Mary Benfield Ratley. Donnie was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Conover and enjoyed racing at Hickory Motor Speedway and playing with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Jeanne Sipe Harmon of the home; step-father, Buddy Ratley of Conover; son, Derrick Harmon and wife, Brittiny, of Claremont; daughter, Miranda Harmon, of Hickory; brother, Scott Ratley of Hickory; grandchildren, Demi Wray, Kiley Harmon, and Maddox Harmon.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at New Life Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Clark officiating. Burial will at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Drum Funeral Home in Conover.

Pallbearers will be Baron Kuritsky, Rob Lewis, Tony Poole, Carroll McKinney, David Barringer, and Bryan Hopkins.
