Emily Sue Shoemaker

in Charlotte.

Born April 10, 1946 in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late Meaver Andrew Bennett and Neva Leola Keever and the youngest of 11 children.

Emily was a loving, caring, homemaker, devoted to her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Dallas, and daughter, Eliza Shoemaker.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kim of Hickory and Melissa of Charlotte; brother, James Leon Bennett and wife Linda; sisters, Doris Moose, Lucille Brim and Virginia Reynolds; grandchildren, Bethany Johnson and husband Kris, and Tristin Sigmon; great-grandchild, Colton Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Taylor Springs Baptist Church,

443 Taylor Springs Road, Union Grove, NC 28689, followed by a graveside service at 3:30 p.m.
