Wayne Eckard, 73, of Rock Hill, SC passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022. Born in Conover, NC he was the son of the late Cleo Albert and Kathleen Margretta Baker Eckard. Mr. Eckard graduated from NC State University and worked for over 25 years with BASF as a chemical engineer. He loved to travel with his dog Buddy, especially through Mississippi in the fall.
Wayne was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Sally Maney Eckard and his daughter, Monica Eckard; he is survived by his daughter Amanda Lynne Balasco and her husband David Balasco Jr. of Rock Hill; and his grandsons, Skylar Balasco and David Balasco III.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Catawba Memorial Park with Rev. Michael Geml officiating.
