Francis James McHale, age 96, of Claremont, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Conover Nursing & Rehabilitation. Born December 11, 1916, he was the son of the late John Frank McHale and Margaret Jane Ray McHale. He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Claremont and was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. McHale retired with the Delaware and Hudson Railroad.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Wetha McHale.
He is survived by his son, David McHale and wife, Genie, of Old Fort; and daughter, Sandra McHale of Claremont.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at Shiloh United Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013 with Rev. Ronald Lytle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
His family will receive friends on Friday from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
