Gladys Putnam Moser

Born January 21, 1916 in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Maldry and Julia Miller Putnam. Mrs. Moser was married to the late George Eugene Moser for 66 years. She retired from Southern Glove Company of Newton, NC.

She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Conover, NC, where she participated in Ladies Aid and various Bible study classes.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by her only son, Thomas Eugene Moser; brothers Nesbit Putnam, Columbus Putnam, Carl Putnam, David Putnam, Ed Putnam, and Ned Putnam; and a sister, Nell Putnam Sigmon.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Pat Drum Moser of Conover, NC; three grandchildren, Julie Moser of Conover, NC, Ginger Stevens of Corning, NY, and Matt Moser of Hickory, NC; seven great-grandchildren, Eric Galloway of New Bern, NC, Brian Galloway of Conover, NC, Kelli Galloway of Nashville, TN, Dylan Miller of Conover, NC, Travis Stevens of Lorton, VA, Chris Stevens of Greenville, NC, and Rachel Stevens of Boone, NC; one great great-grandchild, Lorelei Stevens of Lorton, VA; and multiple nephews and nieces.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Concordia Lutheran Church. Rev. Brian Weaver and Rev. A. Mark Schudde will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday at Concordia.
