Jean Wilkinson Minnick, age 85, of Hickory, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Conover Nursing Center. Born September 10, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John Whinnie Wilkinson and Catherine Lucille Lauder Wilkinson. She was a member of Morganton Adventist Church and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Jean was an avid reader and enjoyed medical and health literature and her Bible.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Wilkinson; and a sister, Jean Bolick.
Jean is survived by her husband of 61 years, Alden Minnick; sons, Brandt Minnick of Brevard, NC, Keith Minnick and wife, Carolyn, of York, PA; daughter, Teresa Goodemote and husband, Dale, of Newton, NC; sisters, Lois Carol of Ohio, Marjorie Ruth Coyle and husband, Richard, of Ohio; and five loving grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 3rd, 2013, at 2:00 pm, at Hickory 7th Day Adventist Church.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
