Laura Kathryn Howard, 56, passed away peacefully on August 25th at Catawba Valley Medical Center. She is survived by her husband, Stephen Howard, whom she shared eighteen joyful years of marriage with.
Laura was born in Weirton, West Virginia. She graduated from Thomasville High School in 1986 and attended Toccoa Falls College. Laura worked at Design Master for twenty-five years as an administrative assistant.
She was an active member of New Life Church, where she dedicated her time to being a prayer warrior and served in the deliverance ministry. She was greatly devoted to her walk with Christ, family, and valued spending quality time with her loved ones. Laura enjoyed reading books, photography, and being in nature.
Laura is survived by her spouse, Stephen Howard, her stepson, her father Ralph Cumblidge, three siblings—Amy Mascunana, Angela Murrow, Caleb Cumblidge—six nephews, and four nieces. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rebbeca Cumblidge.
The visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 pm at New Life Church, followed by her funeral service at 2:00 pm. The burial will be at Conover City Cemetery, for those who wish to join after the service.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Pregnancy Care Center in Hickory, where Laura spent many years volunteering as a counselor and served on the Board of Directors.
