Mabel Louise Abernathy Carrigan, age 93, passed away from this Earthly life to her Eternal home on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Trinity Village in Hickory. Born January 24, 1925 in Catawba County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Homer Clarence Abernathy and Annie May Hollar Abernathy.

After Mabel moved into the Lutheran Home (now Trinity Village), she continued her visits to hospitals and rest homes and felt this was her gift to Jesus, to whom she owed everything as a devoted Christian and firm believer in her heavenly father.
