Ree was born November 13, 1924 to the late Wilborn A. Atwood and Maggie Hoppers of Ashe County, NC.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Reb Reeves; brothers, Earl Atwood and Hazel Atwood; and sisters, Laura Pruitt and Ruby Darnell.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Reeves Saine; son-in-law, Dick Saine; granddaughter, Amanda Burgess and husband, Tommy; great-grandchildren, Daly Burgess and Dawson Burgess; and sisters, Sue Sheets, Josephine Reeves, and Virginia Osborne.
A service of remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2014, at Drum Funeral Home in Conover, NC. Pastor Richard Schwandt will officiate. The family will meet for the committal service at 2:30 p.m. at Cranberry Cemetery in Laurel Springs, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
