

Born October 2, 1949 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Francis Rockett Sigman and Mary Evelyn Moose Sigman.
Martin worked as metal press operator in the furniture industry. He was a member of Beth Eden Lutheran Church in Newton and enjoyed visiting at
The Corner Table. Martin enjoyed talking about the Bible and attending church on Wednesday nights.
In addition to his parents, Martin was preceded in death by two step-mothers, Nannie S. Sigman and Maude T. Sigman; and sister, Carolyn L. Sigman.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years, Carol Huffman Seigmann; biological son, Eric; biological daughter, Tamara Lutes of Montgomery City, MS; brother, Leslie “Les” Sigman of Hickory; sisters, Willie Pearl Sigman Yount and husband, Paul G. Yount of Conover, Mary Frances Sigman Frazier and husband, John of Lenoir, Cathy Sigman Banner and husband, Randy of Conover; numerous nieces and nephews; good friend, Tom Setzer; good buddy, Dr. Watson and Coco.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Beth Eden Lutheran Church in Newton with Reverend Marcus Ollis officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Claremont City Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
