She was born in Catawba County, the daughter of William Vance Yount and Icey Pope Yount. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Moose, Kathleen Yount, and Camilla Yount; and her brother Darvin Yount.
She is survived by her children, Theresa Seitz Reid (Larry) and Marcus Cromer Seitz (Ruth). Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren, David Reid (Allison), Ellen Reid Mertens (Rob), Henry Seitz and Frank Seitz. Also, left to remember her is her sister-in-law, Lorainne Yount, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
She graduated from St. Stephens High School in 1950 and went on to graduate from Lenoir Rhyne College.
Nadine retired after 20 years as secretary at Clyde Campbell School, where she worked with her husband, Carl H. Seitz. They were blessed in marriage for 68 years. After her retirement, she worked for more than 20 years as a volunteer at Catawba Medical Center.
She was a lifetime member of Concordia Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Dorcas Society.
The love of flowers and gardening could always be admired at her home. During her lifetime, she made a home for numerous pets and loved to watch the birds she fed.
Camping at Linn Haven and summer beach trips with her family were some of her favorite times.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Homestead Hills Retirement Home and the wonderful nurses and volunteers at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in the chapel at Concordia Lutheran Church in Conover, Thursday, August 10, at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends in the church at 2:30, prior to the service. A graveside service will follow at Conover City Cemetery.
