Richard Stanley Sears, 70, of Conover, passed away March 17th at his residence. He was born in Rowan County, NC, to the late Rufus Ernie Sears Jr and Margaret Louise Prestwood Sears. He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Conover.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years in August, Guynell Williams Sears; son, Richard Alexander Sears and wife Christina Marie Sears; daughter, Abigail Sears Deal and husband Arnold Deal III; grandchildren, Brooke, Caleb and Rachel Deal, Roman, Baby Brave, Ava, and Cecilia Sears.
A Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service.
A celebration of life will be held at First United Methodist Church - Conover, Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 2 pm with Pastor John Woods officiating. A private graveside will follow.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Eastern Catawba Cooperative Christian Ministry at PO Box 31 Newton, NC 28658 and or to Tunnels to Towers at 2361 Hylan Boulevard Staten Island, NY 10306.
