Robert Bob Lee Spencer

Born October 28, 1932 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Harlan Spencer and Mary Katherine Spencer.

Bob was a member of First United Methodist Church in Conover.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Kevin Lee Spencer and Tony Devin Spencer.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Alice; son, Michael Ryan Spencer and wife, Anne of Conover; daughter, Bobbi Spencer Hamby and husband, Rick of Hickory; grandchildren, Lauren Slaughter and husband, Matt of Killeen, TX, Samantha Spencer of Conover, Garrison Hamby of Hickory, Ethan Hamby of Raleigh, Preston Hamby of Charlotte; great-grandchildren, Zander Spencer and Roxxi Slaughter; brother, Ron Spencer of Claremont.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Conover with Pastor Mickey Moree officiating. Burial will take place at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory.

The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00-2:45.
