Sandra Hoke

Sandra Hoke, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton. Born December 9, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Woodrow Watts and Anna Louise Elliott Bradshaw. Sandra was a member of Sardis Lutheran Church and was self-employed in the food industry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Earl Richard Hoke; brothers, Rickey Bradshaw and Marvin T. Watts; and sister, Carolyn Fox.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Veronica Johnson and husband, Mark, of Hickory and Nicole Brittain of Hickory; sons, Larry Hoke and wife, Lisa of Lenoir and Steven Hoke and wife, Kelly, of Hickory; grandchildren, Gauge and Elijah Hoke, Caitlin Ledford, Sophie Brittain, Connor, Piper, Aaron and Zander Johnson. Grayson and Hayden Hoke; great-grandchildren, Shaylin and Brielle Hoke; brothers, John Watts. Walter Watts, Allen Watts; sisters, Judy Hearn, Ann Bringuier, Donna Lackey, Joann Adams; and special friend Bill Adams.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 in the Chapel of Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton with Rev. Charles Keever, Hospice Chaplain Meg Skidmore and Ken Swanson officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Johnson, Caitlin Ledford, Gauge Hoke, Clint Hoyle, Elijah Hoke, Scott Mull and Randy Watts. Honorary pallbearers will be the remaining grandchildren.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
