

Talitha Gantt Bolick, age 94, of Indian Land, SC, formerly of Charlotte, NC, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Born July 12, 1931 in Catawba County, NC she was the daughter of the late Edgar Thomas Gantt and Nina Killian Gantt. She was baptized into the Christian Faith at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Conover, NC and confirmed in the faith at Concordia Lutheran Church, Conover, NC. She married her high school sweetheart John Koon Bolick on August 4, 1953. He preceded her in death. They were married for 66 years.
Talitha graduated from Valparaiso University in 1953 with a degree in elementary education and a minor in music. She was devoted to the Lord, the study of His word, involved in music ministry, Altar Guild, and outreach in the numerous churches she was part of throughout her life. She loved sharing the Lord. Talitha loved playing the organ, especially the pipe organ, where she excelled. She has been a long-time member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Charlotte, NC. She was a dedicated homemaker staying home raising her three children. She was also an avid artist, painting with oil, acrylic and watercolor.
In addition to her husband and parents, Talitha was preceded in death by her oldest son, John Walter Bolick and only sister, Doris Gantt Kaylor.
Survivors include her daughter, Nina Bolick Ritch of Indian Land SC, son, Martin Edward Bolick of Matthews, NC, grandsons Jonathan Edward Ritch (Bridget) and Jonathan Cameron Bolick of Indian Land, (adopted) granddaughters Amy Puckett of Indian Land, SC, H’Yen Siu and H’Tran Siu of Charlotte, NC, and great grandchildren, McKenna Ritch, Connor Ritch and Brennan Ritch. In addition, she is survived by sister-in-laws Mary Ellen Bolick of Asheville, NC, Barbara Elaine Bolick, of Jacksonville, FL and brother-in-law Robert Louis Bolick of Middleburg, FL along with several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Conover City Cemetery.
